A Stuffed lionHi Everyone!

I'm Nora, baby lion girl. Yes, I have a mane, let's not discuss that, okay?

I was adopted in Bakersfield, California. I've lived with my momma, daddy and Miss Goofy, she's Momma and Daddy's human daughter, for about ten years now. Wow, that's longer than I am old. I'm only six.

Daddy found me in a store one day. He adopted me and brought me to Momma's work cause she was having a very bad day and needed a big, brave lion to protect her. My big brother Lenny, was busy so I went instead. Momma says having me with her was a big help and she's lucky Daddy found me sitting on that shelf. (I think I'm lucky too.)

Momma writes stories about me and my friends. We live in a place called Jefferson Creek. She put some of our stories on this website, they're up at the top of the page labelled, "Stories". These are some of the friends in her stories:

  • A picture of a stuffed llama with a bandanna on it's neckThis is my bestest friend. His name is Pito. He's a llama. We play together all the time. Pito likes to roller skate while I ride my bike. We make up games and sing lots of songs. Sometimes we have sleepovers. His mommy has a long graceful neck.
  •
  • A small white elephant with a straw cowboy hat holding a stuffed ducklingThis is my friend, Elsie. She's an elephant. Be careful she shoots peanuts at people with that trunk. She loves to sing and is very mischievous. The little duck she's holding is her conscience. He doesn't do a good job of keeping her out of trouble.
  •
  • A stuffed lionThis is my big brother, Lenny. He's in a band and plays the guitar. Sometime he lets me play the drums when their drummer is sick. He says I'm pretty good but have to learn not every song needs me to hit them so hard or loud. Isn't he awesome?
  •
  • A stuffed llamaThis is my other llama, her name is Anita. She's kind of shy but she also stops us from doing things that will get us in trouble. She's not bossy about it though. She's very friendly too. Daddy got her for Momma as a surprise. Momma was almost as happy as me.
  •
  • A small stuffed llamaThis is my other, other llama. His name is Zeke. I had told Momma a long time ago that I needed a llama herd. She has sure made sure I have one. I loves my llama herd. Be careful of Zeke though, he may be little but he spits a lot. Duck!
  •
  • A stuffed giraffeThis is JoyJoy. She's an honorary llama. She's just a baby but so sweet. She loves to give antler rubs and if you tickle her tummy, she sneezes. I love to rub her tummy, it's very soft. She has a wobbly neck too so Bearmioni, lent her a scarf so it would be more stable.
  •
  • A stuffed dog and a stuffed bearHere are Henry and Bearmioni. Henry is the dog and Bearmioni is the bear. They're way older than me. Henry is fun but Bearmioni is bossy and likes to shop. Henry wants to be a police dog when he grows up. I don't know what Bearmioni wants to do but it involves clothes.

  • A stuffed llamaMomma says That Miguel doesn't mean to stomp me. He just needs to look where he's going. I say if he's too tall to see where he's going, then I need a smaller llama. I think he likes to stomp me. Although once in a while, he does look down and pat me on the head.
  •
  • A pair of stuffed gorillasThese are the 'Rilla Twins, Fred and George. They live in a tree house and eat a lot of nanners. I sometimes climb trees for the them and throw down the nanners I find. I'm not distracted by nanners like they are. They finish each other's sentences and are a lot of fun.
  •
  • A stuffed penguinRobert the penguin. He and his family moved to Jefferson Creek from San Diego, where they lived in a zoo. Robert has lots of stories about life in the zoo. Momma says they're something called, "tall tales". I think they're neat and love listening to him tell about San Diego.

  • A stuffed butterflyShannen is one of our newer friends. She's very nice and has soft wings that she sometimes lets me touch. Shannen wants to learn about computers and she's learning how at WGU(opens in a new window)
